Strange Eyes
Yep…just keep seeing owls EVERYWHERE…are they the “thing” right now?
Of course i am just making owls even more popular by drawing ALOT of them,
i find them quick and easy to do…and recognizable by all.
The owl is acrylic paint, ink and old book page text.
I then attached that to an old London road map and tea dyed linen
that i stitched and painted, on cardboard cereal boxes. 8″x11″

Mother Nature
Mother Nature. Thank you for the beautiful spring weather you have given us!
I could not decide what kind of hair Mother Nature would be happiest wearing…
then I thought, she might like to wear her own creations
like flowers, leaves, grass and yes, even weeds!

Gypsy Hill
Spring is here !!! Yay ! There are a few small pops of colour in the garden…but mostly it is brown.
This is an altered book page with many layers of gesso, paint, inks and collaged papers.
Is it Springy enough for you ? !!!

Spring Partridge
This 4×6 cardstock started out last December as my Christmas cards,
but after many layers of paint, collage and inks…
I wasn’t luvin’ it…so I put them away for a winter nap..
.and the partridge in a pear tree became flowers in the Spring !

Six Squares
Had an extra book page gesso’d…
So I played around with some watercolors, black conte pencil and black thread on the sewing machine.
(didn’t plan it…but it coordinates with the Winter Trees )

Toadstools and Little Owl
My eldest son’s girlfriend is a collector of owls
(not the tacky, junky, hoarding type…but the tasteful, cute, pretty ones)
…so then I started to see owls EVERYWHERE…
so I had to have one! Thx Mars!
